The Swedish Institute Alumni Network Zimbabwe is proud to launch Succe-ailure Camp, a virtual gathering of final year students and recent graduates from tertiary educational institutions such as universities, polytechnics and colleges. Experts in failure will gather for one purpose…to help you succeed!

Three weeks of entrepreneurship...

Our goal is to inspire you to take action and explore alternative career and life paths beyond the norm and as a Succe-ailure you benefit by:

  • Learning from local and international experts who will provide you with insights into innovation and the tools needed to confront the inevitable obstacles associated with paving your unique path.
  • Sharing ideas with young people as passionate about entrepreneurship, sustainability and leadership as you are.
  • Receiving feedback on your completed project/initiative/idea from our experts in Succe-ailure Camp Phase 2.

Who is a Succe-ailure?

  • Final year students and recent graduates from tertiary educational institutions such as universities, polytechnics, colleges and vocational training schools. All fields of study are welcome including, but not limited to, engineering, law, medicine, business, social studies, education, arts, fashion and more!

Please note that you must provide proof of current enrolment or graduation.

  • Be open-minded, enthusiastic and ready to try, fail and try again!
  • Prepared to work in groups and actively participate in discussions
  • Have an Econet line with internet connectivity. Please note that we will provide internet data in Phase 1 for Zimbabwean participants with Econet lines only.

What do we expect from a Succe-ailure?

  • To attend and actively contribute in all online sessions and assignments. Please note that failure to attend all sessions will result in no certificate of completion given.
  • To actively and respectfully engage through our social media platforms, WhatsApp and Instagram.
  • To implement a project/idea/initiative the outcomes of which you will present in mid-July.

How can I apply to be a Succe-ailure?

  • Fill out our online application form before Monday 8 March. Please note that competition for our Camp is very high and we, therefore, encourage you to show us your creativity, enthusiasm and attention to detail in the two short essay questions.
  • Successful applicants will be notified for interviews in mid-March 2021.
